Calabassas, California: Matthew Weaver Jr. spent the morning of August 10, 2018, driving around the Malibu Canyon area. He stopped along the way a few times to take a photo for Snapchat, and eventually made his way near the Topanga Trail Overlook.
He would send an eerie text to a friend at 11:58 a.m, insinuating that something 'crazy' was happening.
Matthew's silver BMW would be found abandoned just 24 hours later, in an area of the canyons that is not exactly accessible by car.
Matthew Weaver Jr. was never seen or heard from again.
