ON THIS DAY: Marina Boelter Vanished Before Heading to a New Year's Eve Party

Every New Year's Eve, I can't help but think of Marina Boelter and her family and friends.  They have waited so long for answers, and New Year's will never be the same for them. 

To Marina's friends and family- I'm thinking of you all this holiday season and praying that answers are coming soon.

On December 31, 2014, Marina Boelter left her job at a local grocery store, talking on the cell phone and trying to make plans for that night's festivities. A friend gave her a ride home, but said he dropped her off across the street from where she lived.

There was evidence that Marina made it into her apartment, but she was never seen again.  There were a few persons of interest:

• • The friend who drove her home
• Her ex-boyfriend
• Her current boyfriend (a married man)
• A man with a criminal past who lived next door to Marina

What should have been a time of reflection and new beginnings became the start of a painful and ongoing mystery.

Despite investigative efforts, Marina’s disappearance remains unexplained. Over the years, loved ones have continued to speak out, hoping renewed attention might generate new leads. Her case highlights the lasting impact of missing person cases- how uncertainty stretches on, affecting families long after headlines fade.

More than a decade later, Marina Boelter is still missing.
