The Disappearance of Ali Lowitzer
Our episode this week covers the story of 16-year-old Ali Lowitzer. I first covered her case a few years ago, but due to poor audio quality, her story deserved to be retold with additional information.
Ali was really a typical teenager in many ways. She had varying interests- including softball, Girl Scouts, drawing, and makeup.
She had a new boyfriend. Her softball team was headed to the playoffs.
It was April 26th, and summer break was quickly approaching.
But something would stop all of it for the Lowitzer family.
On the afternoon of April 26, 2010, Ali exited the bus at her normal bus stop, and instead of walking home, turned the opposite way to head to the Burger Barn, where she could pick up her paycheck. She had permission from her mom and told her she'd be in touch.
But she never was.
Ali never made it to the Burger Barn and hasn't been seen or heard from since.
Clues were sporadic. Theories were plentiful.
Nothing brought forth any answers, however, and to this day, Ali Lowitzer remains a missing person.
Listen to Ali's episode for more information on the case of Alexandria 'Ali' Joy Lowitzer.
