Tonee Turner was born to make the world a better place. A beautiful place.
Tonee was an artist. She painted, she made jewelry, she created amazing ceramic pieces, she danced, and she could sketch anything. Tonee never went anywhere without her sketch book.
But her movements on December 30, 2019, would baffle everyone for years. Not because those movements were strange or odd in any way- they really weren’t, at least as far as anyone knew, but her movements that day just…stopped.
She followed her normal pattern most of the day. She woke up and took the bus to work. She got out of work at 4:00 pm. Then she hopped a bus to Dobra Tea, where she bought herself her regular drink as she often did. Tonee then got on a bus to head the few miles to her neighborhood, where she got off the bus and headed towards her home.
But later that night, a cyclist crossing the Homestead Greys bridge found a bag, a pair of shoes and a ceramic vase, just sitting on the bridge. He took the bag and found a phone inside, which he was able to use to contact Tonee’s family the next day.
Her family picked up the bag and went looking for Tonee to return it, but found no sign of her. She wasn’t at home, and she didn’t show up for work the next day.
On January 1, 2020, Tonee was reported as missing.
There were some strange clues to follow, but none of which led to Tonee. While the initial thought was perhaps she jumped- there were reasons that particular theory didn't make sense.
